Abstract— CV. Rahmad Rezeki is an official distributor of PT. Sinar Sosro in North Aceh Regency, with Sosro boxed tea 200 ml as its flagship product that has high market demand. However, the company has not yet implemented a structured distribution planning and scheduling system, resulting in frequent overstock and stock shortages, delivery delays, and increased distribution costs. Based on company data, the total distribution cost over six months reached IDR 9,812,000, indicating that the existing distribution system was inefficient. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) method in minimizing distribution costs and to identify constraints in distribution scheduling. The DRP method is applied to systematically plan distribution requirements based on demand. The results show that the implementation of DRP improves distribution efficiency, with total distribution costs over six periods amounting to IDR 6,382,380 compared to the company’s previous method, which incurred costs of IDR 10,198,932. This resulted in cost savings of IDR 3,816,552 or approximately 37%. Therefore, the DRP method is proven to be effective in reducing distribution costs and creating a more structured and efficient distribution system.
Abstrak— CV. Rahmad Rezeki merupakan distributor resmi PT. Sinar Sosro di Kabupaten Aceh Utara dengan produk unggulan teh Sosro kotak 200 ml yang memiliki permintaan tinggi. Namun, perusahaan belum menerapkan sistem perencanaan dan penjadwalan distribusi yang terstruktur, sehingga sering terjadi kelebihan dan kekurangan persediaan, keterlambatan pengiriman, serta meningkatnya biaya distribusi. Berdasarkan data perusahaan, total biaya distribusi selama enam bulan mencapai Rp. 9.812.000 yang menunjukkan sistem distribusi belum efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas penerapan metode Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) dalam meminimalkan biaya distribusi serta mengidentifikasi kendala dalam penjadwalan distribusi. Metode DRP digunakan untuk merencanakan kebutuhan distribusi berdasarkan permintaan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan DRP mampu meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi, dengan total biaya distribusi selama enam periode sebesar Rp. 6.382.380 dibandingkan metode perusahaan sebelumnya sebesar Rp. 10.198.932, sehingga diperoleh penghematan biaya sebesar Rp. 3.816.552 atau sekitar 37%. Dengan demikian, metode DRP terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan biaya distribusi dan menghasilkan sistem distribusi yang lebih terencana dan efisien.
