Abstrak

Water is a natural resource that is one of the important components for human life, both individually and communally. The role of water is very important, because without water there will be no life on earth and even ecosystems will not function properly without water. The research location is the Limus Tilu Irrigation Area (D.I) Cikijing District, Majalengka Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the water demand, water availability, and water balance in Limus Tilu Irrigation Area. The method used in this research is the survey method, namely by making direct observations to the location of the Limus Tilu Irrigation Area (D.I). The data required are rainfall data, river discharge data and climate data including temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and solar irradiation. The results showed that the largest availability of irrigation water occurred in December II at 419.2 liters / second, while for the smallest availability of irrigation water in March 315.0 liters / second. Irrigation water demand in the Limus Tilu Irrigation Area (D.I) with the largest irrigation water demand occurred in November II at 1,600 mm / day and the smallest discharge occurred in August II at -0.0478 mm / day. Based on the calculation of Water Balance in the Limus Tilu Irrigation Area (D.I) for the Paddy-Paddy-Cropping pattern, the optimal alternative is land cultivation starting in October-November, where for the cropping pattern, the land cultivation starts in October-November.
