Abstract

Gunung Tajem Bamboo Woven IKM is a small and medium sized bamboo woven producer industry located in Gunung Tajem Village, District of Salem Brebes, Central Java. The types of products produced at this IKM are woven bamboo called boboko (rice basket). Types of products and production activities are carried out every day due to fulfil every order and target at IKM. At this IKM there is a problem in the production process and output due to ineffective employee performance and the absence of production scheduling. So that it inhibits time for the amount of production that has been determined and is not optimal in the results. The problem solved in this research is How to Plan the Scheduling of Bamboo Matting Production by using the Shortest Processing Time (SPT) method at Gunung Tajem Matting Bamboo IKM. Based on the results of the study, the results obtained from calculations using the SPT method average completion time is 3.284 minutes or 547 hours or for 23 days, and an average delay of 0 by sorting the shortest time work is done first until the longest processing time. With these results, the IKM  do not need to worry about the lack of production process time and not achieving the target according to the time of completion.
