Abstrak

Bogor Regency is one of the regencies/cities with the largest population in West Java, resulting in quite high community mobility every day, one of which is at the Ciawi Intersection. This intersection is a signalized intersection that has a high volume density every day and traffic conflicts are often encountered at the intersection due to the imbalance in the volume of incoming vehicles, and high side barrier. The purpose of this study is to determine the volume of traffic at the Ciawi Intersection, Bogor, and to determine the performance of the signalized intersection at the Ciawi Intersection, Bogor when using MKJI 1997 calculations and simulation using PTV Vissim software. This study uses a calculation analysis method based on the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI 1997) and PTV Vissim software. This study uses a direct survey method with 3 divisions of observation time, in the morning at 06.00 - 08.00 WIB, afternoon at 12.00 - 14.00 WIB, and afternoon at 16.00 - 18.00 WIB. The peak hour vehicle volume at the Ciawi Intersection occurred on Tuesday from 06.00 WIB to 07.00 WIB with a total of 9,538 vehicles. The results of the analysis of the performance Ciawi Intersection using the 1997 MKJI method, the average delay is 43.37 sec/smp with a service level of E (poor), while the results of the analysis of the performance Ciawi Intersection with vissim software the average delay is 42.08 sec/pcu with service level D. From several alternative improvements using vissim software at the Ciawi Intersection, a fifth alternative was obtained to improve the performance of the intersection by adding the width of the south and east approaches by 0.5 m and changing the green phase on the approach. The results of the analysis showed that the average delay at the Ciawi Intersection was 29.48 sec/pcu, which means that the delay has decreased so that the service level becomes C.
