Implementation of work on a project not only requires reliable human resources, but also a good management. The CPM (Critical Path Method) method is a management tool related to planning and controlling a project. As for the use of the Critical Path Method (CPM), and Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), as a comparison of the existing scheduling plans, it is hoped that it can be used as an optimization of project implementation time in order to further minimize delays and can be used as a reference for projects. next.
The purpose of this study was to determine the critical work on the road improvement project and complementary buildings of the Saguling Kolot road section, to compare the duration of the implementation of road improvement projects and complementary buildings to the Saguling Kolot road section, between the duration of project planning with the CPM and PERT methods.
Research result based on the time schedule, the road improvement project and complementary building for the Saguling Kolot road section takes 45 working days while the time specified by the owner is 40 days but this project is completed in 45 working days. After being analyzed using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and the Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), the construction took place 28 and 39 days faster than planned or the time difference was 17 and 6 days.
