Abstrak

ABSTRACT

Road is a land transportation infrastructure that plays an important role in connecting the land sector. The growth population has resulted in increasing community activities using transportation. The increasing use of transportation results in road capacity is no longer able to accommodate traffic flow, factors that cause traffic queues are road narrowing, road damage, factors from the driver's vehicle itself, and factors from the surrounding environment such as side obstacles. There are many motorized vehicles and large vehicles passing on the Jalan Letkol Basir Surya Tasikmalaya City, with a road capacity that is considered less resulting in frequent queues of vehicles, especially in the afternoon which is the time to go home from work / school and exit the passage of high vehicles. The purpose of this study was to determine the road capacity and level of service at Letkol Basir Surya Road Section of Tasikmalaya City. The method used is a quantitative method, which is the process of finding knowledge using data in the form of numbers as a tool to analyze what you want to know. The type of method used is observation method by making observations directly observed and collecting literature, analyzing data based on sources that have previously discussed the problem being analyzed. The results of this study, show that the road capacity is 2507.92 Skr/hour and the peak vehicle volume on Thursday at 16.00-17.00 is 1400.4 Skr/hour, with a saturation degree of 0.5584 with the level of service included in category C (Steady traffic flow, speed and motion are controlled).
