Abstrak

Four-arm unsignaled intersection case study of intersection Jl. Talaga Kulon, Jl. Bantarujeg and Jl.  jenderal Ahmad Yani Talaga of Majalengka Regency is one of the unsignaled intersections. It is an intersection that in its regulations does not use signal lights. Simpang is a place where various conflicts occur. The performance of an intersection is a major factor in determining the function of an intersection. At this intersection there began to be indications of a buildup of vehicles. Because of the mobility around the market, shops, traders and some roads are used as parking lots and many public vehicles stop carelessly.

In conducting a research, research steps are needed so that in the research process so that the research process can be carried out effectively. The method used is the direct method of spaciousness and uses the Indonesian road capacity manual (MKJI) in 1997.

Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the highest traffic volume value is on Sunday afternoon, 16.00-17.00 WIB amounting to 2324 junior high school / hour. With capacity (C) 3081, 21 smp/hour. So obtained (DS) 0.75 delay intersection (D) 12.35, sec / junior high, and queue opportunity (QP) 46.16-23.05% for services is at level D. Based on several alternative improvements, alternative 2 that is more effective can solve problems at four-arm unsignaled intersections Jl. Talaga Kulon, Jl. Bantarujeg and Jl.  General Ahmad Yani Talaga Majalengka Regency so that the saturation degree (DS) value of 0.73, intersection delay (D) 11.96 sec / junior high school, and queue opportunity (QP) from 43.56-21.63% make the service level at level C.
