Abstrak

Road is a land transportation infrastructure that plays an important role in the land transportation sector. Economic growth and increasing population resulted in many activities carried out and increased public needs for land transportation. Side obstacle problems often occur on roads in commercial areas such as the Cikijing highway, Majalengka Regency. Along the way there are shops that cause side obstacles due to community activities. In addition, the presence of temporary stop vehicles in and out of the area around the road and pedestrian activities, affects the smooth flow of traffic so that it has an impact on the level of road services.

The purpose of this study is to determine the traffic volume on the Cikijing Highway section of Makalengka Regency and also to determine the performance of the Cikijing Highway section of Majalengka Regency.

Based on the results of research analysis of the capacity of the Cikijing highway, Majalengka Regency where the traffic volume is quite high, namely 1,236 junior high school / hour, free flow speed with a value of 34.31 km / hour and road section capacity of 2268.57 junior high school / hour. The performance of the Cikijing rya road section of Majalengka Regency is at level C with a saturation degree of 0.47.
