Alternatives, Delays, Road ImprovementAbstrak
Development projects in the transportation sector, especially road improvement projects, are increasing rapidly every year, therefore, in order to support the smooth development, road improvements must be of high quality and have durability according to the planned age but must also be economical. The Mujur - Bangsa (Kroya) Road Improvement Project, Kroya District, Cilacap Regency experienced delays in the project work, from the planned work of 90 calendar days to 97 calendar days in the realization of the work. The aim of this research is to find out which alternative is more effective, efficient and economical to use so that the project does not experience delays. This research uses the Crashing method with two alternatives, namely Additional Labor and Additional Working Hours (Overtime) which is assisted using the Ms. Project 2016 to find out the critical path first. From the results of this analysis, it was found that by using the alternative of additional labor, the duration of work was reduced from 97 days to 73 days with a total cost of Rp. 930,252,249. Meanwhile, using the alternative of increasing working hours (overtime), the duration of work was reduced from 97 days to 49 days with a total cost of Rp. 947.618.913. So, from the two comparisons of alternative crashing methods, the result is that using the Alternative for Additional Labor is more effective, efficient and economical because in terms of time it is effective, efficient according to the target and in terms of cost it is more economical compared to the Alternative for Additional Working Hours (Overtime
