Unsignalized four-arm intersection case study Jl. Ahmad Yani - Jl. Padasuka Tasikmalaya City is an intersection that in its regulations does not use signal lights. Intersections are where various conflicts occur. The performance of an intersection is the main factor in determining the function of an intersection. At this intersection, there are indications of traffic congestion due to high vehicle volumes. This condition causes delays in vehicles which results in increased operational costs and vehicle travel time.
The purpose of this study is to determine the volume of traffic, intersection capacity and level of service at the intersection. The method used in this study is a survey method, namely conducting direct observations at the research location to obtain data as a reference for conducting analysis, and using the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI).
Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the busiest traffic volume value occurred on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 16.00 - 17.00 WIB of (Q) 1266 pcu / hour with a capacity (C) 2904 pcu / hour. Which means that the capacity of the intersection causes traffic flow delays or the level of intersection service decreases. Then obtained (DJ) 0.43 seconds / pcu intersection delay (T) 8.801 seconds / pcu, then the level of service at the four-way intersection without a signal at Padasuka is included in the Good (B) classification.
