ANALISIS KERUSAKAN PERKERASAN JALAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE BINA MARGA DAN INTERNATIONAL ROUGHNESS INDEX (IRI) PADA RUAS JALAN RAYA WINDURAJA – WARUNGDOYONG (STA 4+500 – STA 6+500)

Roads are infrastructure in supporting the pace of the economy and play a major role in the progress and development of a region. The ease of accessing transportation modes makes humans fast in moving. Finally, the road as an infrastructure to change places is filled with vehicle traffic, so it is possible that problems such as road damage occur. An assessment of road conditions needs to be carried out to determine the type of evaluation program that must be carried out, whether it is an improvement program, periodic maintenance or routine maintenance. The selection of the form of road maintenance is carried out by assessing the damage to the road pavement. The assessment of road pavement damage can be done using the Highway Method and the International Roughness Index (IRI) Method. The Bina Marga method is the implementation of a survey that is carried out visually on the assessment of road conditions. As for the IRI method, it is a parameter used to determine the level of unevenness of the road surface.
The results of the study on the Winduraja – Warungdoyong Highway section for the Bina Marga method obtained an average value of 3.65 with a severely damaged condition and damage handling, namely an improvement program, while for the IRI method it received an average value of 4.19 with a moderately damaged condition, which was included in Periodic Maintenance. Both methods show different stability results in each segment of the segment.
