Abstrak

The Batulawang highway, Pataruman subdistrict, Banjar city is the road connecting the city of Banjar with Banjarsari. As a road with a high LHR, it is not uncommon for traffic accidents to occur on this road section which results in loss of life and material. This research was conducted to determine the location of accident-prone areas (blackspots), determine the relationship between the EAN value and corner radius, stopping visibility, degree of curvature, and determine the relationship between changes in the V/C ratio and the number of accidents. The method used in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method or descriptive survey, to describe why this phenomenon occurs. In this study, an analysis of the geometric relationship between highways and traffic accident rates is discussed. The data required in this research includes primary data and secondary data. The results of the analysis show that the location of areas prone to traffic accidents on the Batulawang highway, Pataruman subdistrict, Banjar city is located on horizontal curve 2 with an EAN value greater than the EANc value, namely 66 > 36,49. Then, from the results of the linear regression analysis, the geometric relationship between the Batulawang highway, Pataruman subdistrict, Banjar city and the most influential accident rate is the bend radius, which can be seen from the large R2 value, namely 0.5096. This shows that there is a significant relationship between road geometric conditions and accident rates. Meanwhile, for the relationship between the V/C ratio and the accident rate, a large R2 value was obtained, namely 0.1875, which shows that there is no effect of changes in the V/C ratio on the accident rate.
