Abstrak

To determine traffic movements, on a road section it is possible to have several median opening points that allow vehicles to change direction of travel in the form of a U-turn movement or what is termed a U-Turn movement. Vehicles when doing a U-Turn on the median opening need more time. Vehicles passing through this road section experience relatively low speeds, thus worsening road conditions, vehicles will slow down or stop and cause vehicle queues that cause traffic congestion. Therefore, a study was conducted to analyze the volume of U-Turn traffic, to determine the level of service on Jl. HZ. Mustofa Tasikmalaya City, the average travel time of vehicles that will make a U-Turn, and the length of the queue when making a U-Turn. To achieve these objectives, the PKJI 2023 methodology was used. From the results of the study, the volume of U-Turn traffic was 3376 knd/hour, with a service level of D, the average travel time of vehicles making a U-Turn on Jalan HZ. Mustofa, Tasikmalaya City is 11.3 seconds with a queue length when making a U-Turn of 4 meters.
