Vehicle Volume, Road Damage, Traffic volume.Abstrak
Indonesia as one of the developing countries, has experienced a rapid increase in the intensity of socio-economic activities along with the economic progress that has occurred. Community activities along with the increasing population in an area are the main factors that generate travel needs so that in the end there needs to be a level of efficiency, safety, and comfort in travel. Highways are one of the infrastructures that will accelerate the growth and development of a region and will open social, economic and cultural relations between regions. In the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 38 of 2004 concerning road infrastructure, it is stated that roads have an important role in realizing the development of national life. Given the great benefits of roads for regional development, planning roads or road improvements must meet the requirements that have been set.
The Gerilya road section of Banjar City is a city road that is always passed by trucks carrying heavy loads from the direction of Cimaragas or vice versa, with the passage of time the road structure has experienced damage such as cracks, holes, distortions caused by weak subgrade and surface defects. The problems that have occurred on the Gerilya Banjar City road section so far indicate that the current road performance is not as expected. These problems include causing driving discomfort because the road structure is damaged. Roads that are damaged due to traffic loads or vehicle loads that exceed capacity such as trucks carrying loads exceeding the rear (overloaded). Therefore, the purpose of this study aims to determine the effect of vehicle volume on the level of road damage on the Gerilya Banjar Cityroad section.
Based on the results of the study and discussion, it can be concluded that the results of the equation from the analysis of traffic volume, road damage value and time are with linear regression (R2) or correlation between variables x and y, namely y = 0.07048479. X1 + 0.00288809. X2 + (-140.98159) R2 = 0.9038525. The results of this equation are useful for determining the predicted value of road damage or Nr that will occur at subsequent times on the road sections that the researcher reviewed in this thesis.
