Abstrak

ABSTRACT

In a highway system, intersections are points of conflict between modes of transportation. An intersection is usually formed by the meeting of two road flows in different directions. The meeting between two types of road transportation infrastructure and the railroad crossing on the Guntur road is one form of meeting that can cause problems, namely accidents and traffic flow movement conflicts. This study aims to determine the level of safety and security of transportation at the Guntur Street railroad crossing, Garut Regency, which includes the completeness of the crossing, traffic volume, road section capacity, completeness of the higway, and visility.

The research method used is the survey method (observation), namely by conducting direct measurements in the field and seeking data or information from related agencies regarding level crossings on the road. Data collection a field survey for 4 (four) days in one week, namely Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.

The reults of the road capacity analysis according to PKJI 2023 obtained the results of C=2,744 smp/jam and the results of traffic volume during peak hours were obtained on Monday 1137.3 smp/jam. Furthermore, the result of the Guntur road railroad crossing, namely the visibility of road users from the rail axle, were obtained Dh=49,040 meters and the rain driver visibility to road users was obtained Dt=192 meters.
