Abstrak

Indonesia is a country located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, which causes frequent earthquakes. This condition requires special attention in designing and analyzing building structures, especially high-rise buildings, to ensure they can withstand earthquake-induced vibrations that may occur at any time. The Pushover method provides a more realistic representation of structural behavior when experiencing large deformations due to seismic loads. Unlike linear analysis, this method takes into account material and geometric nonlinearities that typically occur under extreme conditions. Thus, the Pushover method serves as an effective tool for evaluating structural performance under the design earthquake scenario. This study aims to analyze the structural performance of the Bumi Nusantara Hotel in Pangandaran Regency using the Pushover method, reviewed as a new building. The evaluation was carried out based on the Capacity Spectrum Method (CSM) according to ATC-40 provisions, with the aid of SAP2000 software. The pushover analysis results indicate that the Bumi Nusantara Hotel structure achieves the Damage Control performance level, meaning that although some elements experience plastic hinge formation, the distribution is neither progressive nor leads to total collapse. The structure still retains residual capacity against the design earthquake load. Based on the capacity curve and the plastic hinge distribution pattern, it can be concluded that the structural failure mechanism is ductile and controlled, with plastic hinges predominantly forming in beams before columns, in accordance with the strong column–weak beam design principle
