Abstract

The Ciawi-Singaparna road section includes a Regency road that serves as an arterial road with a road length of 23.59 KM. In general, the Ciawi-Singaparna road is in good condition, but at some points damage was found, either hollow or bumpy. Data collection in the form of Primary data with direct observations in the field and secondary data obtained from the DPUPRP and DISKOMINFO Offices of Tasikmalaya Regency in 2022. Thick analysis of bending pavement on the Ciawi-Singaparna road section with the empirical method used is the Component Analysis method and the AASHTO 1993 method as well as the mechanistic-empirical method using the KENPAVE program which is used to determine the value of stress and strain that occurs on the road due to traffic loads. The results of the initial analysis obtained the thickness of the pavement layer of the Ciawi

- Singaparna road section with the Component Analysis method, namely the thickness of the surface layer with Laston MS 744 material of 8 cm, the upper foundation layer with Class A Broken Stone material of 15 cm, and the lower foundation layer with Class B Sirtu material of 15 cm. The 1993 AASHTO method obtained a surface layer thickness with Laston MS 744 material of 15 cm, an upper foundation layer with Class A Crushed Stone material of 17 cm, and a lower foundation layer with Class B Sirtu material of 12 cm. From the thick design of the pavement, the two methods were controlled using the KENPAVE program with the 1987 Bina Marga Component Analysis method, the voltage and strain values of the cause of damage were 0,0003399 kPa and the cause of damage in the form of rutting was 0,0006807 kPa. The 1993 AASHTO method obtained the value of voltage and strain causing damage in the form of fatigue cracking, which was 0.0002087 kPa and the cause of damage was in the form of rutting of 0,0004099 kPa.
