Abstract

In the construction of a building, the role of civil engineering is very important as a supporter of the success of a development plan. Along with the development of the times, many buildings have many architectural concepts and designs so that in their planning they must be able to follow these developments, one of which is the roof structure. SMAN 1 Ciampea which is located in Bogor Regency on Wednesday, March 14, 2024 experienced a construction failure in the form of a collapse of the lightweight steel roof frame. with the aim of finding out the results of the evaluation of the roof frame design of SMAN 1 Ciampea Bogor with SAP2000 software, the results of the roof frame design at SMAN 1 Ciampea Bogor using SAP2000 software showed that the lightweight steel roof frame structural elements experienced excess capacity or were unable to withstand the load acting on the roof frame structure which resulted in collapse. The loads that caused the collapse were, In the loading analysis, the dead load was obtained at 34.712 kg / m2, the live load produced was the worker load of 100 kg, the rain load was 16 kg / m2 and the wind load obtained a pressure value of -0.206 kN / m2 and a suction value of 0.320N / m2, in the loading combination, the largest capacity value is 6.510 and is red and has a pressure force of 22.47 kN. Stating that the load received by the light steel roof frame structure on the SMAN 1 Ciampea Bogor building exceeds the capacity to withstand the load
