Abstract

Parking is an inseparable component or aspect of transportation needs because transportation continues to develop in Indonesia over time. Observations show that available off-street parking spaces often cannot accommodate the number of vehicles, so they exceed the proper capacity. Garut District Hospital requires a large parking area to meet the needs of visitors. The demand for parking spaces at the Garut Regency Regional Hospital can one day become problematic when the existing demand is greater than the capacity of the available parking spaces. This is because many vehicles have unknown drivers or drivers, and also because the Garut District Hospital itself does not have adequate facilities for parking vehicles for hospital visitors.

The research method used is a quantitative method (direct survey method). To obtain data as material for conducting data analysis required in this research is primary data obtained through parking space area, parking volume, parking duration. And also secondary data was obtained by requesting a map of the Garut Regional Hospital's parking location.

Based on the results of research conducted, the maximum parking accumulation was 79 cars and 222 motorbikes, the parking volume was 178 cars and 450 motorbikes and the parking index was 213% for cars and 114% for motorbikes, when compared with the available SRP, the parking request could not be served by the space. parking available. The static capacity of off street parking at the Garut General Hospital, Garut Regency for cars is 33 SRP and for motorbikes is 194 SRP, while the results of the calculation of parking space requirements are 79 SRP for cars and 222 SRP for motorbikes, so additional parking space is needed to be able to serve home visitor parking.
