Abstract

The Cigasong Four-Way Intersection is a busy commercial area in Majalengka Regency, featuring numerous shops, markets, offices, and schools. Traffic congestion on roads leading to the city center during peak hours often affects road performance. This study employs a survey and direct field observation method to evaluate the performance of the Cigasong Four-Way Intersection in managing traffic flow. The analysis used the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) method. The calculation results show that the average saturation degree of the intersection is 0.33, with queue lengths on Jl. Majalengka-Jatiwangi of 21.18 meters, Jl. Majalengka-Talaga of 29.51 meters, Jl. Majalengka-Rajagaluh of 33.47 meters, and Jl. Majalengka-Kadipaten of 32.18 meters. The intersection delays on the approaches are 25.59 seconds/PCU on Jl. Majalengka-Jatiwangi, 26.51 seconds/PCU on Jl. Majalengka-Talaga, 23.60 seconds/PCU on Jl. Majalengka-Rajagaluh, and 23.24 seconds/PCU on Jl. Majalengka-Kadipaten. Based on these intersection delays, the level of service at the intersection is classified as Level C.
