Walls are a crucial element in construction projects, serving as roof supports, room partitions, and weather barriers. Traditional materials commonly used are red bricks, made from molded and fired clay, with standard dimensions of 20 cm x 11 cm x 5 cm. While red bricks are considered robust and readily accessible, they weigh up to 250 kg/m², which can increase the structural load and material costs due to greater adhesive requirements. This study employs interviews and questionnaires to gather data from users, workers, and material suppliers as a basis for analysis. The data collected consists of two types: primary data obtained directly through field surveys, including interviews and questionnaires, and secondary data sourced from other references, such as the AHSP DPUTR in the case study area of Banjar City. The analysis reveals that lightweight bricks, made from a mixture of cement, lime, and expanding agents, offer advantages in strength and market potential. Lightweight bricks have dimensions of 20 cm x 60 cm x 8-10 cm and weigh only 57.5 kg/m², making them 4.34 times lighter than red bricks. Despite the efficiency of lightweight bricks, the unit price in Banjar City remains higher, at Rp 125,000.00/m² compared to Rp 117,062.55/m² for red bricks. This research provides valuable insights for the community in selecting wall materials, considering specific needs and the existing construction context
