Abstract

Roads are land transportation infrastructure that is very important to launch economic activities in an area. High public mobility results in congestion, accidents and long queues can have an impact on the intersection area. One way to regulate intersections is to use traffic lights (Traffic Signals). At the intersection of Veteran road, Kuningan regency, there is an intersection with a traffic sign that is not working. This is the main reason for the conflict and the need to control traffic movements at intersections. Therefore, research was conducted to determine the capacity, and level of service at the four-unsignaled intersection of Veteran Road, Kuningan Regency and to find out alternative improvements to solve problems at the four-unsignaled intersection of Veteran Road, Kuningan Regency using the 2023 PKJI method. There are results of analysis of calculations with a degree of saturation of 0.9 where the value of the degree of saturation has exceeded the 2023 PKJI standard, which is 0.85, then alternative improvements are carried out with a result of 0.77, it can be concluded that this solution is effective to achieve the LOS target, namely C.
