ANALISIS KERUSAKAN PADA RUAS JALAN PERKERASAN LENTUR DENGAN METODE PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX (PCI) DAN METODE BINA MARGA

Road is one of the means of land transportation that has an important role in human life, especially for economic and socio-cultural growth to support national development. To facilitate community mobility so as to provide good service according to the required capacity, if there is road damage it will hinder community activities so that it can cause accidents. Thus the quality of road services decreases because of the many damaged roads and even potholes. Coupled with the number of vehicles that carry heavy loads and even overloads, making the road worse.
The purpose of this study is to determine the types of damage and the damage index value of the road section Jl.Manonjaya-Banjar Banjar City, so as to compare the condition value of the Jl.Manonjaya-Banjar road section based on two predetermined methods. The methods used are the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and the Bina Marga method. The assessment of road conditions in the PCI method is by ranking from a value of 0-100 while the Bina Marga method is based on the priority order of roads with a value range of 0-7.
The types of damage found on the 1.5 km Jl.Manonjaya-Banjar road section include crocodile cracks, holes, edge cracks, longitudinal cracks, grain release, and patches. In the PCI method the average value obtained is 49,38 which is a moderate road condition (fair) which is included in routine handling. In the Bina Marga method the priority order value of 4.08 is obtained which means that the road is in periodic maintenance. After comparing the results of the research on the condition of the Jl.Manonjaya-Banjar road section with the two methods it turns out that the results and values are almost the same, namely the condition of the road section is in a slightly bad condition because in some segments there are road sections in a state of severe damage that require immediate maintenance so as not to worsen the condition of the road.
