Road pavement is a construction built on a subgrade layer whose function is to support traffic loads and transmit these loads to the subgrade so that it does not exceed the carrying capacity of the subgrade. Along with the increasing need for the movement of goods and services, especially for transportation, which results in road damage, the planned lifespan of road damage that occurs on the Cikatomas Tasikmalaya Road will be faster.
The methods used in this study are the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) and RCI (Road Condition Index) methods. PCI is a numerical increment of pavement condition that ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 being the worst condition and 100 being the best condition. Meanwhile, RCI is an assessment system used as a reference to determine the condition of road pavement based on the type and level of damage in road maintenance efforts.
From the research results for the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, a value of 73.25 was obtained, the road was in Very Good condition and the type of treatment was patched. Meanwhile, the Road Condition Index (RCI) method visually shows that the road condition is in good condition with an RCI value of 1.55%, with Routine Maintenance (PR) handling.
