This study analyzes the comparison of time and cost in the Bendung Cigede rehabilitation project using two scheduling methods: Critical Path Method and Precedence Diagram Method. In construction project execution, managing time and cost is a crucial aspect that must be optimized to avoid cost overruns and project delays. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these two methods in controlling project duration and expenses. The research employs a case study approach on the Bendung Cigede rehabilitation project, with analysis using a crashing technique involving the addition of working hours (overtime). The results indicate that the Critical Path Method can reduce the project duration from 116 days to 92 days and further to 88 days after crashing, with an increased cost of IDR 515.257.461.53. Meanwhile, the the Precedence Diagram Method yields a shorter critical path of 63 days, which can be accelerated to 59 days with crashing, incurring a cost of IDR 515.806.517,63. Although the cost for the Precedence Diagram Method is slightly higher, the time efficiency gained is significantly greater compared to Critical Path Method. Therefore, the Precedence Diagram Method is recommended for high-complexity projects requiring time optimization without substantially increasing costs.
