Publication Ethics

JAMASAN: Journal of History Education Students is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of authors, editors, and reviewers involved in the publication process.

1. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Ensure that the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Present research data and findings honestly, accurately, and responsibly.

  • Include all individuals who have made significant contributions as authors.

  • Disclose funding sources and any potential competing interests.

  • Revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.

2. Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Ensuring a fair, objective, and unbiased peer review process.

  • Not using unpublished manuscripts for personal benefit.

3. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers must:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback.

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest.

  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

4. Handling Ethical Misconduct

In cases of ethical misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication, the editor has the authority to reject or retract the article in accordance with journal policies.
