About the Journal

JAMASAN is jointly published by the History Education Study Program, Universitas Galuh and managed by LPPM Universitas Galuh. Published twice a year (February and August) since 2025 in print and online formats, it is a bilingual journal (Indonesian and English), open access peer-reviewed, and specializes in the field of History Education (history, history education, and culture). Its aim is to provide a platform for students to develop research and scholarly studies related to History, History Teaching Methods, Education System, Curriculum, Educational Values, Local Historical Heritage, Media and History Learning Resources, Evaluation of History Learning, and various aspects of historiography, including socio-cultural studies and Other Related Topics.

JAMASAN is an open access peer reviewed research journal that is providing a good quality article written by researcher, academicians and practitioners. The aim is to provide readers with a better understanding of History Learning Studies and present developments through the publication of articles, research reports, and book reviews. JAMASAN is providing a good quality article written by researcher, academicians and practitioners.

Journal subjects related to the following and related issues:

  • History Education: includes studies on how teachers teach history in school or society, curriculum, educational values in contexts and figures, media and historical learning resources, and textbook studies.
  • History Study Materials: including historiography or historical discussion conducted on sources with historical discussion presented in the form of critical narratives related to historical learning
  • Historiography: The study of historiography discusses various themes chronologically, such as: history of education, local history, maritime history, economic history, political history, social history, cultural history, public history and other historical studies that have correlation with history or history education.
