This research theme explores the rich tapestry of Indonesia’s and the world’s cultural expressions, traditions, and tangible and intangible historical heritage. It encourages scholarly studies that investigate how cultural practices, traditional ceremonies, rituals, arts, and folklore serve as living testimonies of historical processes and social identities. Research in this area may examine the preservation, transformation, and revitalization of local and national heritage in the face of modernization and globalization. Topics may include the historical significance of cultural customs, the role of heritage sites in collective memory and education, and the interplay between tradition and contemporary society. Contributions that analyze how these cultural elements contribute to history education, foster cultural awareness, and promote historical consciousness among students and communities are highly welcomed.
